Recently Graduated? Six Apps to Help You Ace the Interview & Get Hired

The end of college marks the beginning of the rest of your life, and for recent graduates it’s time to settle down and start a career. Getting a job isn’t only about finding an opening, it’s about being prepared. You’ll need to have a well-organized resume, practice interview questions and etiquette, and start networking!  To give recent college grads an edge when making the transition from student to professional, AT&T has prepared a list of six free apps to help facilitate the impending job search:

1.  Indeed.com
Find jobs on the go with the Job Search app from Indeed.com.  Instantly access millions of job listings from thousands of company websites on any mobile device. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/job-search/id309735670?mt=8

2.  Resume Bear
Resume Bear is the #1 resume building app available.  Either upload an existing resume or use one of the hundreds of available templates and create a new one.  New grads can make professional-looking resumes from anywhere that can be emailed directly to the employer. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/resume-bear/id394120103?mt=8

 3.  Do You Buzz
Another resume building app is Do You Buzz.  Like most resume apps, users can create and send resumes from a mobile device, but this app offers more flexibility.  Use creative images and designs to personalize or brand any resume. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/doyoubuzz/id492241319?mt=8

4.  Monster.com Interviews
Part of being prepared is having an idea about what might be asked in a professional interview. Monster.com Interviews provides advice and coaching for new grads through each step of the interview process, including a complete post-interview follow up guide. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/monster.com-interviews-by/id426634637?mt=8

5.  Evernote
The Evernote app keeps all important information organized in an easily accessible location. Grads on-the-go can create separate notebooks for notes, audio recordings, images, documents, contacts, schedules and follow-up reminders – all of which can be tagged to an individual job lead or other projects.  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/evernote/id281796108?mt=8

6.  SnapDat
Networking and staying connected are two of the most important professional skills.  SnapDat allows users to create and distribute digital business cards, and contact information can be automatically uploaded to the recipient’s contacts. https://itunes.apple.com/app/snapdat-digital-business-cards/id298564307?mt=8
