Military Educational Benefits Available Through SDSU's Extended Studies

Since the United States government shutdown has ended, now is the perfect time for military personnel to use their educational benefits.

The SDSU College of Extended Studies Military and Veterans Services Office is offering more than 20 certificate programs approved for veterans’ education and military spouse benefits in its outreach to veterans, active duty, and family members of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

“Education is a critical component, especially when you talk about a unique program like here at the Extended Studies at San Diego State University where veterans come into the classroom,” said Capt. James C. Goudreau, director of the Navy Energy Coordination office in Washington, D.C. Capt. Goudreau was keynote speaker at the SDSU Extended Studies veterans sustainability event “Discover Green Careers, Entrepreneurship, & New Trends” earlier this year.
