Summer Lifelong Learning Courses at SDSU

Registration is now open for the summer courses being offered by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at SDSU’s College of Extended Studies. The curriculum is for students 50 years of age and better who are seeking to continue their lifelong education. Among the summer courses are Ansel Adams to Van de Goor: A Short History of Landscape Photography; Slavery, the Civil War, and the American West; Anatomia Italiana: The Cultural History of Art and Anatomy along the Italian Peninsula; From Australia to Hawaii: Music of the Pacific Isles; How Brain Research is Changing Marketing: The Two Brainz Model; and California History from Jerry Brown to Jerry Brown Redux. All summer offerings meet just once in consideration of student travel plans. The Osher Institute puts students in a state-of-the-art classroom with curious fellow learners and outstanding instructors, including SDSU faculty, along with faculty from other area universities, and award-winning authors and artists. There are no tests, grades or exams – just a chance to dive into learning and recapture the thrill of intellectual growth and camaraderie of a vibrant learning community.
