Christmas Cheer: Santa Delivers Gifts and Goodies

St. Nick was the man of the hour at community Christmas dinner.

Santa Claus is continuing to make his rounds throughout the city ahead of the big day. Monday night he was spotted at Lemon Grove Lutheran Church, where the weekly sponsored by the Samoa Independent Full Gospel Church became a full-on Christmas feast for hundreds of community members.

Pastor Ula Tausaga heads the that distributes food twice a month in partnership with the Lutheran church. During the holidays, they host special Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners open to the entire community, and hand out provisions to help everyone put a meal to their holiday table.

Monday night's gathering featured turkey and all the trimmings. And if that didn't fill in all the empty corners, ribs and ham were sure to do the trick. The meal, which was served to about 500 people, was topped off with dessert—and, of course, gifts and visits with the Jolly Old Elf himself.
