Declutter and Do Good

Reduce your carbon footprint while getting rid of clutter.

Just because it’s not spring doesn’t mean you shouldn't do a little house cleaning.

Go through your garage or storage unit and get rid of those old electronics for good. Lemon Grove has another event this weekend that will help you get rid of the clutter.

Residents can bring unlimited amounts of household electronics, such as VCRs, cameras, computers, monitors, modems, copiers, stereos and similar items. Car batteries can also be recycled at this event. Unfortunately, appliances and household batteries are not permitted. Microwaves will be accepted, however, for a $10 charge. Click here for a list of acceptable recyclable items.

This e-waste recycling event, put on by the City of Lemon Grove and Recycle San Diego, is free and will be held Saturday at Civic Center Park. Lemon Grove residents can stop by anytime between 9 a.m. and noon and get rid of their junk while reducing their carbon footprint!

Can’t make it this weekend? You can recycle your e-waste at the same place and time every third Saturday of the month.
