Here's What's Happening Friday
Thrills (the Scream Zone) and chills (cold beer!) abound on this last day of the week.

1. starts at noon at the Lemon Grove Senior Center. Prizes are awarded!
2. It's Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Golden Avenue School. Choose from a fresh crop of locally grown fruits and veggies.

3. There's a class for teens at 1:30 p.m. at the Lemon Grove Branch Library. Bring a mat, towel or blanket, and wear comfortable, loose clothing. Free.
4. will start doling out frights tonight—and it's not even October yet! 7 p.m. to midnight at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. $15.

5. In La Mesa, it also matters not that we're still in September as the annual celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. and goes until 11:30 p.m. in the city's downtown village. All the beer and oom-pah-pah you can handle all weekend.
