Here's What's Happening on Tuesday

1. It's at the Lemon Grove Senior Center. Today's movie, Joel and Ethan Coen's adaptation of the Western “True Grit,” starring Jeff Bridges as US Marshal Rooster Cogburn, starts at noon. Popcorn and refreshments are provided.

2. A is offered at 1 p.m. at the Lemon Grove Branch Library. Free.

3. meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Lemon Grove Methodist Church, and and meet at 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Church affiliation is not required to join.

4. The will meet at 6 p.m. at the Community Center. Among other business, council members will consider a proposal to increase dog licensing fees to ensure the city recovers costs associated with the program. Increased fees are expected to add $7,000  to the general fund annually.

5. A free starts at 6 p.m. at the library. Issues that contribute to obesity, such as overeating, food cravings, yo-yo dieting and stress, will be addressed. Tonight's focus will be on creating a home garden and shopping for healthful foods.
