Anna's hummingbirds are common throughout the region, and can be attracted to your backyard with a feeder that won't run you more than $10. In addition, making your own nectar couldn't be easier. Just combine four parts water with one part sugar, and bring to a boil. Simmer three minutes, and cool thoroughly before filling the feeder.
