Lemon Grove Deputy Honored for Protecting City from Drunk Drivers

Deputy Jerry Jimenez was honored by the San Diego Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.

San Diego Sheriff’s officials announced Wednesday that the San Diego County Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, or MADD, honored several deputies for their work in protecting the public from drunk driving, officials said.

Among the honored was Lemon Grove Deputy Jerry Jimenez, who is credited with making 29 DUI arrests, according to Sheriff’s officials

A ceremony was held in Mission Valley on March 27. The deputies were honored for for helping to take more than 500 drunk drivers and suspected drunk drivers of San Diego County roads last year and facilitating DUI Checkpoints, officials said.
