Lemon Grove Murder Victim's Friends, Family Seek Support

Money is being raised to help pay for a headstone for the woman who was gunned down in Lemon Grove in January.

Friends and family say they need help completing the final resting place of a woman who was murdered in Lemon Grove earlier this year.

Though Jennifer Rene Krajnak was laid to rest on Jan. 15, her family is still trying to get enough money together to fund a headstone at  El Cajon's Singing Hills Memorial Park.

"I know the story is kind of old (in news time) but Jenn's family is still in need of donations to get her headstone done," friend Monica Blank wrote to Lemon Grove Patch.

Krajnak, 30, was gunned down in Lemon Grove on Pacific Avenue, near Broadway and Buena Vista Avenue, early on the morning of Jan. 3, according to police.

Meanwhile, the man who was arrested in connection to Krajnak's death, Casey Michael Tschida, pleaded not guilty to murder charges on Feb. 20.  He's next due in court on March 29 for a trial readiness conference.
