Thanksgiving Food Distribution for All Those in Need

Church's food pantry will hand out free groceries Friday.

 

With Thanksgiving gatherings in mind, a local food bank will put groceries in the hands of those who need food most ahead of next week's holiday—and the Matadors will be on hand to help.

The operated by the Samoa Independent Full Gospel Church and the Lemon Grove Lutheran Church usually distributes free food on the first and last Fridays of the month, but instead will do its big distribution tomorrow, Nov. 18. Food will be handed out at the from 9 to 11 a.m.—or until everything is distributed.

Pitching in to help out during their bye week, the Mount Miguel varsity football team will volunteer their time and muscles to assist with the distribution.

In addition to the food bank, the ministry also offers a every Monday open to all. This Monday will feature a community Thanksgiving dinner.
