The Week Ahead

Here's what's happening around town this Thanksgiving week.

 

Welcome to the holiday kickoff, Lemon Grove! The kids are out of school, and there are still lots of preparations to make for the long weekend ahead, so let’s get right to it! Click the links for more details.

1. The Samoa Independent Full Gospel Church and the will host a community Thanksgiving meal from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church, 2055 Skyline Drive. All are welcome.

2. The K-8 Lemon Grove School District is on Thanksgiving recess. There are no classes, no school board meeting and no Friday farm stand at Golden Avenue School. Administration and staff will be busy next week, however, as the district prepares for its official for the STEM Academy and new joint-use library Nov. 30.

3. It’s a short week at City Hall. If you still haven’t taken advantage of the city’s who’ve let their pet’s license lapse, you can do so through Nov. 30. City Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday this week, closed Thanksgiving and Friday.

4.The annual sponsored by Soroptimist International of Lemon Grove is underway. Community members can drop off items in bins located at , the , the , the and

5. Union Bank and the Lemon Grove Kiwanis Club are putting the final touches on this year’s program, which benefits children in need at Golden Avenue School. Want to help brighten a child’s Christmas? Stop by the bank branch next week and take an angel off the tree to fulfill a gift wish.

Nice if you can actually pass such a bill but we are dealing with politicians who cherish the powerRead More they have attained rising to the top. In actuality this has "A Snowballs Chance In Hell" of passing, but kudos for the effort.
