More than 100 people attended the city's held Jan. 21 at the Lemon Grove Senior Center.
Guests enjoyed food tastings, makeup demonstrations, music, and a dance performance. Vendors were on hand offering information on a variety of entertainment and event services, from snapping photos to spinning tunes.
The city is marketing its facilities as the ultimate resource for the party planning needs of brides and grooms, parents throwing quinceanera, baptism and confirmation celebrations, and those who are having a landmark anniversary or big birthday bash.
The site boasts indoor and outdoor space, with French doors that lead out onto a large, landscaped patio area. There is a full-service kitchen and a hall that seats 160 banquet style, or 300 theater style.
Hosted by Mayor Mary Sessom, the event also featured a raffle. Elida Cortez of Lemon Grove won a party package valued at $7,500.
