Fix up our streets and put more walking paths in and around our city. Let's promote a healthier lifestyle in LG.

1) Repair the streets - they are in desparate need of fixing.
2) Stop trying to add mixed-use buildings in to the community - Lemon Grove is just not that kind of place. 3) Correct the names on the street signs that have been incorrect FOR YEARS now. (It is Glencoe, not Glenco) These signs were KNOWINGLY incorrect when they were put up. 4) Maybe consider NOT having 3 drug stores within spitting distance of each other. Maybe something along Lemon Grove Avenue would be a better location.

At one time there were three drug stores in the Lemon Grove Ave. (Imperial Ave) area: Thrifty Drug which is now the 99-cent Only store; Haizlip's which is now Starbucks, and across the street on the other side of the lemoin was Rexall Drugs.

For 2013: Fix the streets!
Pass an ordinance with a nominal fine for people to continue to remove shopping carts from local businesses and then abandon them in residential areas.

Clean up the city by fixing the streets, fix the shopping cart dumping, removal of the undesirables, and bring in businesses who make us shine.

Slurry coat or pave the streets. I never see crews in my area working on street improvements. I am especially annoyed with Golden Avenue between Acacia and Kempf. Very rough and been this way a long time. Another area is the street behind the U.S. Post Office. This has been rough a long time. I think an attempt has been made to fill in the holes but not a good job even on that. Also, the parking area in front of businesses on the south side of Broadway between Lemon Grove Avenue and Kempt. Again, this area has been in disrepair for along time. Also, would like to see a grocery store somewhere in this end of town.

Create a very attractive incentive plan to bring better stores to the area, restaurants also. When I do a search for restaurants in Lemon Grove, the only thing that pops up is a burger place on Broadway. I would love to see the area on Broadway, east of Lemon Grove Ave. cleaned up and try and attract good shops. We could use an Old Navy store, The Closet (women's clothing), Fresh and Easy, Denny's ... There doesn't seem to be a very good sense of community here. Lemon Grove could be wonderful.

Also, can something be done about the number of lanes crossing the Trolly tracks at San Miguel and Lemon Grove Avenue. There needs to be a extra lane so traffic turning right from San Miguel onto Lemon Grove Avenue can do so without being impeded by vehicles going straight through on San Miguel. Traffic is definitely hindered by this poor layout. In summary, we need three lanes - one turning left, one for strait through traffic and one lane to turn right. This would greatly improve traffic flow in our great city! Thank you.

Repair the streets, all over Lemon Grove. Better shopping choices on the east end of Broadway. Would like to see our city have better walking & biking paths, sidewalks, bike paths etc.

Oh and also, bring back the Rec center programs...
