St. John of the Cross Annual Fall Festival

The parish's annual Fall Festival attracts thousands each year for live music, family entertainment, lots of food and much more. This year, each night will be capped off with a laser light show.

Entry into the festival is free, as is the entertainment. Vendors will be on hand with items for sale, and food and refreshments to purchase. Attractions include rides and games, a beer garden, a white elephant auction and silent auction.

There will also be a raffle with a $3,000 first prize.

Festivities kick off at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.

  • Friday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

 

Proceeds from the event will benefit the church's charities and the all-denomination Teen Youth Center building fund.

St. John of the Cross Church is home to a diverse congregation of more than 4,000 families, including Hispanics, Filipinos, Chaldeans and African-Americans, according to its website.

Each year, the parish's large Hispanic community presents a on Good Friday, re-enacting the final hours of the life of Christ.
