First Baptist Church to Host University Concert Band Oct. 28

The Riverside-based student ensemble will perform a free concert Sunday.

The California Baptist University Concert Band will perform a free concert during a morning service at the First Baptist Church of Lemon Grove later this month.

Under the direction of conductor Guy Holliday, the Riverside-based student ensemble performs works ranging from the standard concert band repertoire to exciting new pieces by the finest young composers to seasonal favorites and traditional marches, according to the university's website.

The concert will take place during the Oct. 28 service, which begins at 10:20 a.m. at the church.
