Blessed Are the Piecemakers: Quilters to Display Their Handiwork

A local quilt guild shows off its works of art Saturday.

This weekend, prepare to be amazed with a colorful art show that will display the handiwork of locals.

The Kaleidoscope Quilt Guild of Lemon Grove is hosting a on Saturday. The biennial event will include an array of handmade quilts, wall hangings and garments. More than 100 of the members' creations will be displayed for viewing.

The show will also include refreshments, a kids’ corner, a silent auction and a display of items donated to philanthropy. The winner of the Opportunity Quilt will be announced during the event.

Want to see some truly spectacular works of art? The Kaleidoscope Guild Quilt Show takes place on Saturday at the , located at 2590 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, so bring the family for some fabric fun.

Want to become a member of the Guild? Show off your quilting talent for just $25 a year. You can attend the meetings, which are held every third Wednesday of the month at the Masonic Organization Center, participate in fun social events and donate one of your quilts to a charitable cause.
