Locals Flock to La Mesa's Annual Oktoberfest

La Mesa Oktoberfest was kicked off Saturday. And as usual drew an impressive crowd, according to several participants who posted a review on social media

This year is the 40th annual Oktoberfest. It continues today from noon to 4:30 p.m.

Oktoberfest is held along La Mesa Boulevard in the village area between Acacia and Fourth avenues. The event includes a beer garden, more than 250 booths and music.

La Mesa Boulevard was to remain closed and parking will be at a premium. However, the San Diego Trolley's Spring Street stop on the Orange Line is adjacent to the festival location.
