My, how time flies. Why, it seems like it was just Aug. 20 that Kim Kardashian married NBA forward Kris Humphries in a lavish ceremony.

After just 72 days of 'til death do you part, Kardashian is calling it quits and leaving Humphries a free agent once again.

In the world of short Hollywood marriages, this one seems sillier than most for its over-the-top, conspicuous nature. The 20.5 carat engagement bling she flaunted was reportedly valued at $2 million. The bill for the wedding ceremony totaled $10 million—though it's said the couple didn't pay a penny. Additionally, the whole affair was shot for a ridiculously popular, two-part reality TV show special that raked in millions upon millions of dollars in profits.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Kardashian filed the action Monday in the Los Angeles Superior Court (see PDF). According to People, the couple has a prenuptial agreement, and Kardashian is asking the court to deny spousal support to Humphries.

Whatever the reason, the mess begs an etiquette question. What to do with the wedding gifts?
