76 Station Listed as Cheapest Locally as Prices Continue Recent Plunge
Average price in county has fallen 20 cents over the past 11 days, including 2.7 cents Thursday,
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County fell 4.2 cents Friday to $4.525, the largest drop in 11 consecutive days of declines. In Lemon Grove, the best price was reported at the ConocoPhillips 76 station at 7180 Broadway—at $4.33 a gallon.
At $4.47 was a three-way tie between Food 4 Less and two USA Gasoline outlets.
The average price countywide has declined 20 cents over the past 11 days, including 2.7 cents on Thursday, after rising 54.7 cents over the previous six days to a record high of $4.725, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price

The average price is 16.2 cents less than one week ago, but 39.8 cents more than one month ago and 64.1 cents higher than one year ago.
“Oil industry analysts reported significant drops in the wholesale market on Wednesday which, if they hold, should bring prices well below $4 a gallon,” said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California. “The only question is how quickly that will happen.”
