What's your idea of idea of the perfect sandwich?
Well, UT San Diego released its picks for the Top 5 sandwiches in the region this week and guess which Lemon Grove eatery had one among the chosen?
Coop's West Texas Barbeque's BBQ sandwich made the newspaper's Project Sandwich 2013 list, which was the result of reporter Kelli Dailey's "quest for carb-and-meat excellence."
Dailey had big praise for the owner's skills on the pit.
"Brad Cooper rubs, smokes and shreds his way into the hearts of barbecue fanatics," she writes.

Coop's opened its Lemon Grove location in October 2010. The owners also have a Chula Vista restaurant.
