Lemon Grove got a new place to fill up with the opening of the Food 4 Less fuel center Wednesday.
The 24-hour gas station offers pay-at-the-pump convenience, as well as a staff on duty from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily for those who want to make a quick purchase of sodas, gum, phone cards and the like while their tanks fill.
Patrons can get savings through the store’s “Fuel Saver Rewards” program, in which customers receive 10 cents off each gallon of gas when they spend $100 or more on Food 4 Less groceries.
But is it the cheapest gas in town? At its debut, it’s in a four-way tie for the No. 1 spot offering regular self-serve gas at $3.67 a gallon.
