Lazy Dog Looking to Hire in San Diego County

Looking for work in the restaurant industry?

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, an upscale casual dining eatery, announced today they are hiring for their soon-to-open Mission Valley restaurant, their first San Diego County location.

Managers will be interviewing for 200 positions. Interviews are currently being held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 – 5 p.m. Monday - Saturday on-site at the Westfield Mission Valley mall on Camino Del Rio North, restaurant officials wrote in a news release.

The Lazy Dog is filling both front-of-house and back-of-house positions in their "scratch" kitchen, restaurant officials wrote.

"With the opening of our San Diego restaurant around the corner, we are eager to begin meeting with the folks who will become an integral part of the Lazy Dog family in Mission Valley," Lazy Dog CEO & Founder, Chris Simms wrote in the news release. "We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individuals who will bring their passion, and a spirit of community to the table."

The restaurant, Lazy Dog's 12th outpost in Southern California, represents a homecoming of sorts for Chris Simms, who launched his restaurant management career at PF Chang's while living in San Diego, according to restaurant’s management. It was during that time that he began conceptualizing the vision for Lazy Dog, a tribute to the lifestyle and small-town hospitality of the Rocky Mountains where Chris Simms and his family spend part of the year, they wrote.

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is set to open in the former Chevy's space at the Westfield Mission Valley Mall, 1202 Camino Del Rio North in late June. For locations and more information, visit their website.
