McDonald's in Unincorporated La Mesa Re-Opens After Renovation

The restaurant is located at 3781 Avocado Blvd. It will re-open on Saturday, Feb. 16.

McDonald's recently made the following announcement:

Sporting several contemporary changes designed to enhance the customer experience, the McDonald’s restaurant located at 3781 Avocado Blvd., in unincorporated La Mesa, will reopen its doors Saturday, Feb. 16th.

The Rancho San Diego McDonald’s, operated by local business owner Phil Palumbo, will host a grand re-opening celebration this Saturday with special activities including a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m., and a drawing to give away prizes including flat screen TVs, electronic tablets, MP3 players, gift cards and more. Ronald McDonald® will also do an on-lot magic show at 1 p.m., give out goodie bags and host a drawing to win a boy’s bicycle and girl’s bicycle.

Other on-site activities for the grand re-opening include music by radio station 98.1 Smooth FM and face painting for kids. The Rancho San Diego McDonald’s will offer Big Macs at $1.50 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and several other daily specials for the next month. The restaurant will also be extending its hours to include a 24-hour lobby and drive-thru.

McDonald's nationwide revamp is designed to give customers a more inviting dining experience. Highlights of the redesigned Rancho San Diego restaurant include a new exterior, landscaping that complements the community and a double-lane drive-thru.

Inside, customers will enjoy comfortable lighting, contemporary color schemes that reflect the personality of the brand, along with new furniture with natural finishes. Technological enhancements include digital menu boards and a dual-point counter service system designed to improve service times.
