Montessori Preschool Fun! Baked Apples, More Eggs and an Equilateral Triangle

Baked Apples, More Eggs and an Equilateral Triangle

The children had a wonderful time making baked apples. First we put down pie crusts in a large cupcake tin. Then they worked on coring, peeling and slicing apples. They carefully put the apple in the cupcake tin and then filled the apple with brown sugar and cinnamon. After popping them in the oven, and waiting patiently, the apples were ready to eat. They were really delicious and all the children enjoyed them!

Olivia has been an amazing chicken, laying an egg every day since she started last week. This week, Tidbit (a Barred Rock hen) also started laying eggs! So far she has given us two eggs but more are sure to come. The children really wanted to try the eggs and we decided the best way to do that was to hard boil them. Everyone enjoyed the hard boiled eggs. We went and thanked Olivia and Tidbit for giving us such a fantastic gift.

I’ve added the picture I promised last week of the equilateral triangle from the Triangle Box carefully push punched by a 4 year old.
