Gusty Winds, Showers Likely by Tuesday Evening

Expect an overnight low of 45° F, says the National Weather Service.

Strong west winds are expected to whip across the mountains and desert areas of San Diego County today as high surf pounds the coast.

The National Weather Service says a cold low-pressure system from the Gulf of Alaska will bring strong gusty winds through the region until early Wednesday.

A high wind warning is in effect until 3 a.m. Wednesday in the mountains and deserts.

Lemon Grove forecast according to NWS:

Today: 30 percent chance of showers, likely after 4 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 62° F . Southwest wind around 10 mph.

Tonight: Showers likely, mainly before 10 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 45° F. West wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
