Home Avenue Off-Ramp Closed as MLK Mural Starts Along Route 94

Connector ramps will be shut Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

The northbound state Route 15 connector ramp to the eastbound
state Route 94/Home Avenue off-ramp will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., as construction crews for the city of San Diego place scaffolding along the retaining wall at Home Avenue. Signs will be posted detouring motorists around this short-term closure.

A mural commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will begin next week along
this stretch of eastbound Route 94. Work on this project is scheduled to
begin Tuesday and will take approximately two months to complete.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) sponsors this
project and the city of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture is
administering the artist’s contract. The completed mural will become the
property of the state of California.
