Missing Elderly Oceanside Man Found Dead

Robert "Bob" Worden's body was discovered Thursday morning. He went missing on Saturday.

An elderly man with Alzheimer's disease who went missing from his home in Oceanside has been found dead, Capt. Leonard Mata of the Oceanside Police Department announced Thursday.

The body of Robert "Bob'' Worden, 79, was found in a brush area not far from his home at about 6:40 a.m. His body was discovered by a local resident who called police. There were no signs of foul play, Mata said.

Worden was reported missing from his residence in the 3900 block of North Vista Campana at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities presumed Worden walked away from his home, and his age and medical condition put him at risk for injury.
