What You Should Know for Veterans Day
Many local entities will honor veterans by closing on Friday, which also happens to be 11/11/11.
In observance of Veterans Day, local schools and the library will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11. Additionally, the post offices on Broadway will be closed.
The weather forecast for Veterans Day is expected to to be cloudy and cool in the morning, with temperatures around 64º. Temperatures will increase to a high of 71º by noon, and will drop dramatically in the evening to 54º. Rain is expected Friday evening, at a 50 percent likelihood.

- City offices are closed.
- Lemon Grove School District's K-8 schools will be closed on Friday. Grossmont Unified High School District schools, including Helix and High Schools, are closed as well.
- The Lemon Grove branch library is closed Friday, but will reopen on Saturday.
- The Senior Center is closed as well.
- Emergency service is not affected by the holiday. Call 911 if you have an emergency.
