BBQ and WILD WEST FEST

On August 10th from 4 to 7 p.m., East County Magazine presents a BBQ and Wild West Fest fundraiser that is sure to satisfy the cowboy and cowgirl in all of us.

The Hole in the Wall Gang and the Gaskill Brothers Gunfighters will be performing a 35 min. program of comedy skits and western reenactments, as well as roving through the crowd at the historic Descanso Town Hall. The Town Hall is located in the hilly countryside of Descanso in the Cleveland National Forest just north of Interstate 8, off Highway 79, just past Alpine at 24536 Viejas Grade Rd, Descanso, CA.

Pine Creek Posse band will entertain the crowd with country western, bluegrass, and rock ‘n’ roll favorites outdoors at the bandstand, so bring your dancing shoes—or your cowboy boots.  You can also shop at local vendors’ booths and view silent auction and drawing prizes.

Smoked original recipe Jack Daniels Tri-tip and Chicken BBQ will be prepared and served by Tammy Cooker and her crew from Descanso Junction Restaurant and Catering. BBQ feast is included in the admission price. Tickets are $15 pre-paid and $20 at the door.
