The push is on to collect as many pairs of glasses as possible in the final two days of a local charitable event to help give the gift of sight around the world.
So, what to do with those eyeglasses you no longer wear? Whether the prescription in no longer what you need, or the style just doesn't suit you anymore, gather them up and donate them for someone who can't afford a pair of glasses.
Throughout the month of March, Conrad Lemon Grove Mortuary has served as a collection point for donated eyeglasses to benefit the La Mesa Lions Club Eyeglass Drive. But time is running out! The final day to make a donation is Friday, March 30.
Spare specs can be dropped off in the lobby at the mortuary, 7387 Broadway, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and tomorrow.
Eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses are welcome.
