'Absolutely Fabulous' Fundraiser for Middle School D.C. Trip
Shopping event will benefit student trip to the Capitol, raise money for local museum.
The Lemon Grove Historical Society knows the holidays can be stressful, so they’re making Christmas shopping “Absolutely Fabulous” for you. Better yet, proceeds benefit Palm Middle School's first-ever
The event to support Lemon Grove middle schoolers will be held this weekend at the Organizers hope to raise enough money to sponsor the Washington, D.C., trip this spring, as well as for the , which provides a civic resource for students and the community.

The “” event is a mix of crafts, art, photography and more. Attendees can get designer-quality items at half the price, thanks to the Nancy Alvarez Trunk Show. Find things like one-of-a-kind clothing, accessories and jewelry.
For the person who’s handy with the needle, fabrics for quilts and blankets will be available. And for the history buff or avid collector, the museum will have vintage photographs, handmade dolls and artifacts available for purchase—perfect for holiday gift-giving.

Homemade treats, like gingerbread, H. Lee House Red Leaf Lemon Tea and trail mix, will be available and make the perfect stocking stuffer. Other fun items for sale at the event will be vintage hats, knitted caps and scarves for relatives in the Midwest, although with the cold temperatures we’ve been having here, we’d understand if you bought some for yourself!
Want to buy some absolutely fabulous gifts while helping eighth graders take an educational trip to the Capitol? The shopping event is Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the H. Lee House. The trunk show will start at 10 a.m. Happy shopping!
