My Pledge to the People of Lemon Grove

Let's talk about campaign finance.....

Lately there has been quite a bit of talk around our town about special interests, campaign contributions and who might behind some of the candidates and issues.  In the past, campaign season in Lemon Grove was a genteel exercise, marked by civility and an open expression of different political philosophies and viewpoints. After all, the City Council races have always been officially non-partisan.

This election season has been markedly different. Outside special interests, campaign consultants and  donations from outside of our city are trying to influence the outcome of this election.

Let me make one thing clear to my friends and neighbors here in Lemon Grove – YOU are my special interests. I have accepted no donations from any union or corporations or outside special interests. My conscience is clear. My vote is not for sale. There is no conflict of interest within my campaign or its supporters. You can be sure that over the next four years when tough decisions have to be made on the City Council I will have your best interests in mind. I will work hard for you and make sure that you have a voice, an advocate, a real representative on the City Council.
