Joe Brunner, former Chairman of the United Veterans Council of San Diego has Endorse Matt Mendoza for City Council.
Brunner, former chairman of the United Veterans Council of San Diego County, served in the Navy from 1956 to 1975 and is active with numerous veterans’ organizations, including the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Veterans Museum and Memorial Center. Brunner was also selected for the 2010-2011 San Diego County Veteran of the Year Award.
Brunner stated; "As a leader in the Veteran Community and a long time home owner in Lemon Grove I endorse Matt Mendoza for Lemon Grove City Council". Brunner further stated "Matt and I share the concerns facing the Lemon Grove City Council as well as our shared vision of the future". Brunner made his Endorsement official at the Lemon Grove City Council Candidate Forum that was put on by the Lemon Grove Patch, held Monday night, October 29th, 2012.
Mendoza was pleased to be endorsed by Brunner, he stated; "It is an honor to be endorsed by such an outstanding leader of our Veterans. We both know and respect the service that our military has done for our country and freedoms". Mendoza has been a strong supporter of Veterans all his life, Matt’s father served in WWII.
