Poll: Is SDG&E Doing All It Can to Provide Power at Reasonable Costs?

Local utility opens Sunrise Powerlink, deals with shutdown of San Onofre and calls flex alerts.

San Diego Gas & Electric Co. is relieved that temperatures eased Tuesday and Wednesday and “flex alerts” were no longer needed. The alerts urged customers to reduce their power use during the hottest times of the day—and lessen the risk of rolling blackouts. But some observers—such at U-T San Diego columnist Roger Hedgecock—wonder what the local utility is doing to shore up energy supplies. And what about the regular requests for rate increases? Does SDG&E lack energy in developing new power sources?

new centralized windfarms, destructive transmission lines, centralized solar farms , new fossil fuel power plants to solve the problems caused by the centralized renewables, who is gonna pay? ha ha we all know, expect your rates to quadriple in a few years. Go off-grid now before they create a diconnect from the grid extortion fee.

^^^^^ $Billions in taxpayer dollars in loans and grants, meanwhile California rooftops sit vacant, Germany, Spain, Asia, and even Austin Texas move forward with market based feed in tarrifs the unleash rooftop potential. Californians will pay for decades because of the current CPUC, CEC, CAISO, SEMPRA, Pattern Energy, NRG... cronyism and incompetence.
