83-Year-Old Woman Victim of Lemon Grove Avenue Purse Snatcher

Reports filed between Sept. 11-Oct. 8:

A 56-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public at 11:10 a.m. Oct. 8 in the 7200 block of Broadway.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at 7:28 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 7400 block of Broadway for being drunk in public.

A report of kidnap was taken about 8:51 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 8100 block of Mt. Vernon St. A 31-year-old victim suffered an apparent minor injury. The actual occurrence of the crime was listed on the report as taking place between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 6.

There was a report of assault with a deadly weapon at 12:40 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 7800 block of Broadway.

A call of a person down at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 7000 block of Broadway resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old man on a charge of DUI.

A vehicle was reported stolen about 6:34 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 7500 block of Broadway.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at 6:24 p.m. Oct. 5 at Main Street and Broadway and charged with being drunk in public.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested at 11:01 p.m. Oct. 5 in the 7200 block of Central Avenue and charged with mayhem and battery with serious bodily injury. A 33-year-old female victim suffered a severe laceration, according to the report.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at about 1 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 3200 block of Olive Street for being drunk in public.

Methamphetamine was found at about 4 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 2100 block of Massachusetts Avenue.

An 80-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman were the victims of a telephone fraud, according to a report taken about 7:21 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 2500 block of Pergl Street.

Two men were arrested after a foot chase at 10:08 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 7900 block of Broadway. A 57 –year-old man was charged with drunk in public, and a 53-year-old man was charged with being drunk in public.

A 40-year-old woman was robbed of $48 at about 2:55 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 7800 block of Broadway.

Starbucks on Broadway reported a fake $1 bill at 5:45 p.m. Oct. 3.

A vehicle was reported stolen at about 1 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 3200 block of New Jersey Ave.

A 29-year-old man was arrested about 3:12 a.m. Oct. 3 in the 7300 block of Goodman Lane and charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A 27-year-old man was arrested about 3:56 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 7900 block of Broadway and booked on a charged of making annoying calls to 911

A 35-year-old woman was arrested about 9 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 8100 block of Longdale Drive and booked on a charge of spousal abuse with minor injury.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested at 10:29 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 3500 block of Vista Avenue and charged with DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked license with a prior DUI conviction, and operating a vehicle with .01 percent or more BAC while on probation for DUI.

A call reporting assault with a deadly weapon at 8:02 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 7300 block of Goodman Lane resulted with the arrest of a 33-year-old woman on a charge of being drunk in public.

An assault with a deadly weapon was reported about 7:58 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 7300 block of Goodman Lane.

A 43-year-old woman was arrested about 4 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 7000 block of Broadway and booked on a charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A 26-year-old man was arrested about 11 a.m. Oct. 1 in the 7000 block of Broadway and booked on a charge of commercial burglary. Food items valued at $7 were reported lost.

A subject stop at 9:08 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 7800 block of Broadway resulted in the arrest of a minor on an outstanding bench warrant.

A 20-year-old man was arrested about 12:43 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 6700 block of Federal Boulevard and booked on a charge of being drunk in public.

A 22-year-old man was arrested about 12:26 p.m. Sept. 28 in the 7300 block of Central Avenue and booked on a charge of battery on a spouse/ ex-spouse/date.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 8:39 a.m. Sept. 30 in the 7200 block of San Miguel Avenue.

A report of child abuse was called in about 10:18 p.m. Sept. 28 in the 7800 block of Golden Avenue. The report states the actual occurrence to have been at 11:45 a.m. that day.

An 83-year-old woman was the victim of an armed robbery about 2:52 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 3200 block of Lemon Grove Avenue. Her purse, $55 and ID and credit cards were lost.

A 38-year-old man was arrested about 1 a.m. Sept. 27 in the 1800 block of Bakersfield Street and booked on a charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A vehicle burglary was reported about 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 7000 block of Jeanne Road. Items valued at about $2,000 were reported lost.

An assault with a deadly weapon was reported about 9:36 a.m. Sept. 26 on North Avenue. A 34-year-old woman suffered an apparent minor injury.

A 56-year-old man was arrested about 2:53 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 7200 block of Broadway and charged with being drunk in public.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at 3:32 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 7200 block of Broadway and charged with robbery of the Rite-Aid store. A consumable good valued at $1 was lost.

A 19-year-old man was reported the victim of an armed robbery about 11:38 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 1600 block of Woodrow Ave.

A 27-year-old man was arrested about 11:42 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 3200 block of Meadow Lane and booked on a charge of spousal abuse with a minor injury.

A 42-year-old man was arrested about 7:04 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 7700 block of Palm Street. after a report of hit and run lead to him being booked on two charges of DUI. He was arrested on Cinderella Lane, according to the report.

A vehicle was reported stolen about 8:43 a.m. Sept. 26 in the 2400 block of Bonita Street.

A vehicle was reported stolen about 8:36 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 2600 block of Mercury Drive.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting from Home Depot at about 6:52 p.m. Sept. 21.

A burglary in progress was reported at 8:06 a.m. Sept. 11 in the 1600 block of Watwood Road. An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with residential burglary, conspiracy to commit crime, and giving a false identity.

Wow. Our tax dollars at work. We sure do keep the Deputies busy here in the LG. I wonder how many are residents. I'd like to see follow up reports. Hey, aren't calls made on your cell phone from LG supposed to go directly to Sheriff dispatch instead of CHP, now?
