Arrests Made in East County Warrant Sweep

Sheriff’s deputies searched for suspects with outstanding warrants on Saturday.

Sheriff’s deputies conducted an East County warrant sweep on Saturday, arresting four adults on felony warrants and 15 adults on misdemeanor warrants.

The sweep was part of the Lemon Grove Sheriff’s Station’s Holiday Watch crime-prevention program and included parts of La Mesa, Spring Valley and El Cajon, according to Sgt. Richard George. Suspects with drug- and theft-related warrants were targeted.

The detail was funded by the Sheriff’s Warrant System Automation Trust Fund, which is made up of assessment fees collected from suspects who have failed to appear in court or failed to comply with a court order.

Suspects with outstanding warrants can turn themselves in at any court facility Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Nice if you can actually pass such a bill but we are dealing with politicians who cherish the powerRead More they have attained rising to the top. In actuality this has "A Snowballs Chance In Hell" of passing, but kudos for the effort.
