Sheriff's Blotter: Christmas Shooting and Thefts in Recent Crime

A Christmas night shooting, vehicle thefts, and battery were among the crimes recently reported in Lemon Grove.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is continuing its investigation into a shooting that happened on Glencoe Drive Tuesday. 

A woman was driving her vehicle southbound in the 1600 block of Glencoe Drive at approximately 7:10 p.m. when gun shots shattered her rear passenger window.  Her son was seated in the rear passenger seat, but was uninjured. Read more here.

• Transaction involving a controlled substance – reported at 1 a.m. at the intersection of Lemon Grove Avenue and Massachusetts.

• Vehicle theft – reported at 6 p.m. in the 3200 block of Olive Street.

• Burglary (shoplifting) – reported at 5:50 p.m. in the 7500 block of Broadway.
