Deputies Searching for Three Suspected of Robbing Man at Gunpoint in Spring Valley

Witness was not injured. Suspects reportedly took a significant amount of cash.

Deputies are searching for three suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday morning in Spring Valley, authorities say.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, a man was robbed at gunpoint at 9:25 a.m. as he entered the Troy Street Recycling Center, 8743 Troy St., Spring Valley, in preparation to open it for business today. He told deputies from the Lemon Grove Sheriff’s Station that a handgun was used to commit the robbery.

The suspects made off with a significant amount of cash in a black, four-door vehicle, which was recovered by authorities not far from the crime scene in Spring Valley.

The man robbed gave deputies partial descriptions of the three suspects, described as two Hispanic males and a female. He said one of the males wore a mask.
