Drivers in the 7900 block of Broadway were checked for signs of impairment.

Four drivers were arrested for suspicion of DUI at a checkpoint conducted by the Sheriff’s Department Saturday night in Lemon Grove.

Deputies stopped vehicles near the 7900 block of Broadway between 8 p.m. and 2:30 a.m, checking licenses and looking for signs of impairment. The checkpoint screened 435 vehicles, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

"...funded by a grant...'' that means: ''we took it out of your other pockets''... these are called 'earmarks' .. on a state level - we raise taxes to cover the money... on a federal level - we run up debt to cover the money... local, school district, county, state, federal.....many levels of taxation, but only one tax payer...
