Friday Night Curfew Sweep in Lemon Grove Picks Up 26 Juveniles

Four of the kids were under the influence of alcohol.

A Friday night curfew sweep in Lemon Grove resulted in 26 minors being detained by deputies, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Of the kids picked up in the operation, four were under the influence of alcohol, sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Hampton said.

All the juveniles were released to a parent or other responsible adult, and provided with services through a partnership of agencies, including community- and faith-based organizations, county probation, and local school districts, Hampton said.

Under the direction of the Lemon Grove Command, the collaborative curfew sweep was aimed at curbing juvenile violence, gang activity, crime and victimization, according to authorities.
