A hearing for three men accused of killing a man in Lemon Grove over drugs was rescheduled for later this month.

A trial readiness conference scheduled today in the case of three men accused of killing a man in Lemon Grove was continued to Feb. 19, District Attorney officials said this morning.

The jury trial for Alfredo Hayes, 19, Eugene Veal, 19, and Dasaun Roberts, 20, is still tentatively scheduled for March 11 in San Diego Superior Court.

Edgar was found shot in the head in a home in the 8200 block of Mt. Vernon Street, according to Sheriff’s investigators. Authorities say the incident was a drug robbery gone bad.

The victim was shot while being pistol-whipped to hand over a large amount of marijuana locked in a safe, according to the District Attorney’s office.
