Hearing Postponed for Accused Lemon Grove Killers
A trial readiness hearing has been postponed until March 27 for the three defendants, but the trial is still set for May 6.
A trial readiness hearing scheduled today for three defendants charged with murder has been continued until March 27.
The trial date for Alfredo Hayes and Eugene Lucious Veal, both 19, and Dasaun Romann Roberts, 21, is still set for May 6, according the San Diego County District Attorney's office.
All three are charged with first-degree murder in the March 2012 death of 23-year-old Avel Edgar.

Edgar was found inside his home in the 8200 block of Mount Vernon Street dead from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
Hayes and Veal were arrested a week after the killing, and Roberts was taken into custody in early April 2012.

Authorities allege the incident was a drug robbery gone bad.
The victim was shot while being pistol-whipped to hand over a large amount of marijuana locked in a safe, according to the District Attorney’s office.
All three remain jailed in separate detention facilities in the county. Bail for each is set at $1 million, according to jail records.
