Lemon Grove Crime Report: Oct. 11-18

Burglary, shoplifting and car theft make the roundup of crimes reported in Lemon Grove.

Items of note from the desk of the of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of Oct. 18:

Oct. 11

A radio and clothing with a combined value of $220 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3400 block of Washington Street, occurring between 6 p.m. Oct. 8 and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 11.

A case of identity theft was reported in the 7900 block of Nichols Street, the loss valued at $435. The fraud reportedly occurred between 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2010.

A bicycle valued at $25 was found in the 8100 block of Lincoln Street.

A computer valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from a building in the 1700 block of Dayton Drive around 1 p.m.

A petty theft was reported at a liquor store in the 7100 block of Broadway around 9 a.m.

Oct. 12

A 23-year-old woman was cited for misdemeanor embezzlement by employee in the 7100 block of Broadway. The loss was valued at $344.66, occurring between Sept. 15 and Oct. 2.

A 58-year-old man was arrested for felony drug violations in the 7700 block of Broadway around 4:40 p.m.

A residential burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Taft Street, occurring between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. A rifle valued at $500 and other items with a combined value of $5,400 were reported missing.

Oct. 13

A commercial burglary was reported in the 7600 block of Broadway between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Three people were arrested at 4:20 a.m. on Broadway for felony burglary and conspiracy; one was also booked on suspicion of DUI. Items worth $30 were recovered.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for misdemeanor contribute to the delinquency of a minor and a probation violation, and a juvenile was cited for possess/purchase smoking paraphernalia in the 7700 block of Broadway around 10:30 a.m.

Oct. 14

A bicycle valued at $50 was found in the 3700 block of Hilltop Drive.

A 34-year-old man was arrested for felony shoplifting from a business in the 7200 block of Broadway. Liquor valued at $10.99 was recovered.

Oct. 16

A car was vandalized on Olive Street and Broadway, occurring between 9:30 Oct. 15 and 6:15 a.m. Oct. 16. Damage was estimated at $300.

A car valued at $2,500 was reported stolen in the 6700 block of San Miguel Avenue, taken between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and 10 a.m. Oct. 16.

A 42-year-old man was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon, not firearm, around 6:45 p.m. in the 3100 block of Chateau Way. The 48-year-old male victim had a severe laceration, according to a report.

Oct. 18

A car valued at $1,000 was reported stolen in the 8100 block of Lemon Grove Way, taken between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.
