Lemon Grove Murder Victim's Memorial Service Planned for Friday

Poilce say Jennifer Rene Krajnak was shot and killed on Jan. 3, on a Lemon Grove street.

Jennifer Rene Krajnak will be remembered and laid to rest this Friday, with services planned in San Diego and El Cajon.

An 11 a.m. memorial service is planned at Bethel Baptist Church, church officials confirmed to Patch.  That church is located at 1962 Euclid Avenue in San Diego.

Following the service, friends say Krajnak will be laid to rest at El Cajon's Singing Hills Memorial Park, at 2800 Dehesa Road.

If you plan on attending, you're asked to wear some of Krajnak's favorite colors.

"Jenn's family asks that everyone attending the services to be wearing shades of purples and pinks. No black. Jenn did always love her colors," Kendra Hayes wrote on Lemon Grove Patch.

Hayes also invited people to check out a memorial page that's been set up in Krajnak's honor on Facebook.  There, friends have designed a place where they are sharing some of their best memories of the woman they call "glitter queen."

According to police, Krajnak, 30, was gunned down in Lemon Grove on Pacific Avenue, near Broadway and Buena Vista Avenue, early on the morning of Jan. 3.

The man who is suspected of carrying out the crime, 32-year-old Casey Tschida, was arrested Jan. 5 in Oregon.  He's currently awaiting extradition to the San Diego area to be charged, district attorney officials say.

"Tschida shot [Krajnak] once in the head and left her lying in the street," San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Glenn Giannantonio wrote in a news release.

According to investigators, the two had been at a Lemon Grove bar but left separately; they knew each other, authorities said.
