Man Escapes After Attempted Burglary, Chase, Crash
The suspect fled on foot after failing to negotiate a curve on a state Route 94 offramp.
A driver in the westbound lanes of state Route 94 lost control of his vehicle trying to exit Monday and fled police who were chasing him following a botched burglary.
CBS8 reported that he misjudged the offramp near College Avenue and tumbled over the side. He fled the scene on foot and evaded police.
The pursuit began, authorities said, because the man was spotted as he tried to break into a residence. A neighbor shooed him away.
