Phony Cop Steals Spring Valley Man's Pot
The armed bandit entered the victim's home, pulled a gun, and demanded narcotics, authorities said.
A man who claimed to be a police officer robbed an East County resident of marijuana at the victim's home Thursday.
The thief, who was dressed all in black and had some type of badge around his neck, showed up at the residence in the 10000 block of Sierra Madre in Spring Valley shortly before noon, identified himself as a law enforcement officer and went inside, sheriff's Sgt. Carlos Medina said.
The bandit then pulled a gun and demanded narcotics, according to Medina. After the victim turned over an undetermined amount of pot, the robber left the home and fled the area in a black sedan, Medina said.
