Man, lemon grove is going to crap.... Ghetto. What's going on and why? Where's the politicians? Why aren't they out there cleaning up their streets?

It does seem like Lemon Grove has been in the news lately. I live in lemon grove and have always felt safe. What can the city government and it's residence do to make sure things don't keep going this direction?

Sammy, It was a Lemon Grove man and the shooting was in Encanto. Yes the news with Lemon Grove , has not been positive. But, I have seen and read many of these instances and they almost never involve locals getting into the mix. Its usually someone from somewhere else committing a crime here and getting busted.

I feel there needs to be more police and civilian involvement in the areas close to the trolley. Especially the one by the lemon. It is easy for a criminal to commit a crime then hop on the trolley for easy escape.

What is going on? You really have to ask? Good grief! Where have you been? Certainly LG is not La Jolla but far from being a ghetto. I take offense to that. We are predominately working class community with a quite a few middle to upper class mixed in. Lemon Grove is , in my opinion , "a diamond in the rough". Your community is what you make it Sammy. If you believe LG to be a crappy place and are always reinforcing that belief by always looking at the crime reports then it will always a bad place. The only way to change your belief is if you make the difference by getting up from your computer and start serving your community.
