Police Search for Person Who Fatally Shot a Dog

Police said a medium-sized mixed breed dog was shot and killed in the 500 block of Millar Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Police asked for the public's help today in identifying whoever shot and killed a dog in a residential El Cajon neighborhood.

A medium-sized mixed breed dog was shot and killed in the 500 block of Millar Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to El Cajon police Lt. Mark Coit.

A resident in the area heard gunfire and saw the dog run about 25 yards before collapsing, the lieutenant said in a statement.

The witness also saw a vehicle with its headlights on leaving the area but could not describe the type of vehicle, Coit said. It was also not immediately clear whether the dog belonged to anyone in the neighborhood. It had no collar but appeared to be clean and well kempt, Coit said.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call El Cajon police at (619) 579-3311.

Nice if you can actually pass such a bill but we are dealing with politicians who cherish the powerRead More they have attained rising to the top. In actuality this has "A Snowballs Chance In Hell" of passing, but kudos for the effort.
