Local Church Burglarized—Music, Sound Equipment Reported Stolen

Recent reports of crimes in Lemon Grove:

The Christian Church of Lemon Grove and Second Chance Apostolic Church in the 6300 block of San Miguel Avenue reported a burglary about 1:40 p.m. Aug. 28. Stolen property includes a DVD player valued at $50, a musical instrument valued at $500, a PA system valued at $600, and miscellaneous musical equipment valued at $270.

Two men were arrested about 3:30 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 7100 block of Broadway in connection to an assault. A 23-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were both charged with assault with a deadly weapon and cause harm/death of an elder/dependent adult. The report states a 23-year-old male victim suffered a possible internal injury and a severe laceration.

A 22-year-old woman was cited about 2:40 p.m. Aug. 8 in the 7600 block of Broadway on suspicion of selling liquor to a minor.

A report of vehicle vandalism lead to the arrest of a 39-year-old man about 5:25 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 1600 block of Watwood Road on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and carrying a switchblade knife.

A juvenile was arrested about 12:40 a.m. Sept. 6 on the 7600 block of Broadway on suspicion of rape. The report states the victim had an injury, listed as a severe laceration.

A report of a suspicious person lead to the arrest of a 54-year-old man about 1:20 a.m. Sept. 7 in the 3200 block of Olive Street on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, destroying/concealing evidence, and obstructing/resisting a peace officer.

A report made of hit and run with property damage about 2:45 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 3600 block of Lemon Grove Avenue listed the victims as the City of Lemon Grove, DCH Honda of Lemon Grove, and Caltrans. Property damage is listed as miscellaneous and plants.

A two-door sedan valued at $2,000 was reported stolen about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 5 in the 7000 block of Mt. Vernon Street.

A traffic stop about 7:30 a.m. Sept. 5 at Broadway and Olive Street lead to the arrest of a 36-year-old man on a parole violation.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI about 6:15 p.m. Aug. 22 at Lemon Grove Avenue and North Avenue.

An attempt to contact lead to the arrest of a 24-year-old woman on an outstanding felony bench warrant about 11:30 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 1600 block of Watwood Road.

An attempt to contact lead to the arrest of a 21-year-old man on an outstanding felony bench warrant about 1 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 1700 block of Colfax Drive.

A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public about 4:50 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 2600 block of Lemon Grove Avenue.

A 45-year-old man was arrested about 7:15 p.m. Sept. 3 in the 1500 block of Angelus Avenue on suspicion of spousal abuse.

A four-door sedan valued at $4,000 was reported stolen about 8:10 a.m. Sept. 4 in the 7500 block of North Avenue.

A 48-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public about 12:40 p.m. Sept. 4 at Buena Vista Avenue and Central Avenue.

A 28-year-old man was arrested about 7:05 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 7900 block of Broadway on suspicion of DUI.

A vehicle that was reported stolen in another jurisdiction was recovered about 10:25 a.m. Aug. 28 in the 7900 block of Lester Avenue.

An armed robbery and carjacking of two vehicles, valued at $10,000 and $15,000, was reported about 3:40 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 7000 block of Russan Road. The report states the 29-year-old male victim suffered an apparent minor injury. No arrest was listed.

A report of a disturbance about 8:25 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 6900 block of Federal Boulevard lead to a 41-year-old woman being cited on suspicion of battery.

A 48-year-old man was cited on suspicion of battery about 8:35 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 7300 block of Canton Drive. The report states a 23-year-old female suffered an apparent minor injury.

A report of indecent exposure lead to the arrest of a 47-year-old woman about 2 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 8700 block of Broadway on suspicion of being drunk in public.

A report of a disturbance about 10:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at Grange Street and San Miguel Avenue lead to the arrest of a 20-year-old man on suspicion of being drunk in public.

A 48-year-old man was arrested about 3 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 2900 block of Massachusetts Avenue on suspicion of spousal abuse.

A report of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years was filed about 11:45 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 2600 block of Nida Place. The report states the victime suffered an apparent minor injury. No arrest was listed.

A report of a discharge of a firearm about 7:15 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 1700 block of Madera Street lead to the arrest of a juvenile on suspicion of possessing an explosive illegally and another juvenile for possession/purchase of smoking paraphernalia.

A traffic stop lead to the arrest of a 24-year-old woman about 9:45 p.m. Aug. 21 at Broadway and Grove Street on suspicion of having unrestrained children in the vehicle. She was charged with willful cruelty to a child without injury or death, driving on a suspended/revoked license, and an outstanding warrant.
